Many changes are getting ready to come into existence after July 1st, 2017. People will think about GST after listening to the date. Not only GST many changes will be going to happen from that date. Hoping, these modifications may change our lives.
Significant Changes after July 1st:
Paperless Train Tickets:
From July 1st, Railway Officials are trying to provide the Rajdhani, Shatabdi train tickets paperless. IRCTC’s intention is to implement the cashless and paperless ticketing system. The passengers who will travel in these trains will get the paperless mobile ticketing facility at first. Passengers can show their e-tickets in the premier trains whenever TC (Ticket Collector) asks them.
IT Returns and Aadhaar:
Without Aadhaar, it is impossible for the officials to file the I-T returns from July 1st, 2017. Aadhar number is necessary while filing the income tax returns. Tax Payers can not file your returns without Aadhaar after July 1st.
The Government has made it mandatory to link Aadhaar with PAN. They kept this rule to prevent the people who are using multiple PANs to escape from the taxes. Section 139AA of the Income Tax Act made it compulsory to connect the Aadhaar and PAN. If any individual forgets to do so, their PAN will be invalid.
No Departure Cards:
If you want to fly abroad then there is no need of departure cards from July 1st. This may facilitate Indians to move abroad easily. People who choose their mode of transporting through rail, seaport, land immigration check posts they have to fill the embarkation card. This new rule may save the time which we spend to complete the immigration formalities.
Without Aadhaar card, we will not get the passport. Ministry of External Affairs announced Aadhaar is one among the necessary documents to apply for the passport. So, without the Aadhaar, we cannot get a passport from July 1st.
Aadhaar and PAN:
Our PAN will be valid if you link our Aadhaar with PAN. If you want to get new PAN card also it is necessary to have the Aadhaar card. After June 30, we will not get PAN card if you do not submit the Aadhaar card.
PF and Aadhaar:
Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) announced it is compulsory to link their Aadhaar with PF account by June 30th. Pensioners also have to provide their Aadhaar details. EPFO says Aadhaar linking will make the withdrawal and settlement process time shorter. It will reduce the existing 20 days period to 10 days.
Without Aadhaar we will not get the concession on the railway tickets. The Indian Railways aim is to remove the misuse and leakage. So it made Aadhaar mandatory from July 1st to get concessions on the railway tickets.
If you are the college or school student and want to get the scholarship from the government Aadhaar is mandatory after July 1st. HRD Ministry released a notification saying that the students should submit the Aadhaar card by June 30th, 2017.
This is the major change that is coming into the existence after July 1st. The government will roll out the GST (Goods and Service Tax) on July 1st to unify the economy and to make 1.3 billion people into the single market. It works under the concept of one nation, one tax, and one market.
Indian origin expatriates (the people who are living out of the nation, abroad) has to pay the expat tax. It may be the huge burden to them.
The Government will provide the LPG Subsidy and PDS benefits only if we link Aadhaar. In order to avail the different public subsidies, the individuals have to link the Aadhar number. In the same way, we have to connect Aadhaar to ration card, LPG subsidy and all.
