Amarnath Yatra Resumes from both Routes after Weather has Improved

Due to weather conditions, torrential rains, Amarnath Yatra has resumed from Pahalgam and Baltal routes. After having suspended for a few hours today around the holy cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas.

Amarnath Yatra has resumed from the two routes:

An official of the SASB told PTI that “The yatra has resumed from the both ways given the improvement in the weather condition.”

Early morning, the authorities have suspended the yatra as there is a heavy rainfall around the 3880-metre high shrine.

From Jammu base camp, meanwhile, pilgrims have stopped from proceeding towards the valley. In the view of the blockade of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway due to landslides at some places.

The officials also said that for the base camps the pilgrims headed at Battle and Nunwan has requested. To check the status of the yatra with the control room or helpline set up by the SASB before starting.
